December 22, 2009

Formerly PIA/GATF, Printing Industries of America has realigned its identity both on and off-line to better meet the needs of its customers, suppliers, and partners. The new site, Printing.org, was unveiled early this summer with a new, modern look and feel, and a number of features designed to help users get the most out of their online experience.

“Of course, great design is vital to any brand’s interactive initiative” explains Robert Kruse, President of 2440 Media, “but the benefits of fresh, relevant content and intuitive navigation lend to repeat visits and the brand’s overall credibility. Combining both design and a good user experience is the key to success.” As part of the architectural consideration, there are a number of navigational improvements designed to allow users to find their desired information easily and with the fewest number of clicks possible.

The CMS-driven site allows Printing Industries of America employees to update content regularly without any prior coding knowledge or experience. Using search engine friendly markup, the new environment that not only allows major providers to crawl effectively, but also outputs the cleanest code boosting site performance while lending to accessibility.

Driven by open-source technology, the Drupal framework will promote scalability of the site. As new features are released, they can easily be integrated into the site making the expansion and evolution of Printing.org a breeze.
